Quick Start Guide

Project Documents are posted to the service to enable fast and easy access to the information you need.

Use this Quick Start Guide to help you get started. Use the Help Menu in the site to access more detailed assistance.

1. Login and Password

If you do not have a login and password for the site, click on the Obtain a Login and Password link on the Login Page, complete the registration form and set your login and password. You will use this login and password every time you access the system, you do not need a new one for each Agency or project you are accessing.

If you think you already have an account, but do not remember your password, use the Forgot your Password link on the Login Page. This will send a password reset message to the email address we have on file for you.

2. Public Access

To view the current public projects list, on the Main Page click on the All Current Projects link under the My Searches option on the right.

From the list that displays, you have the option of viewing more details regarding the project by clicking on the blue Project Title link in the middle of the table. To go straight to the Project Documents, click on the View link in the Docs column of the table.

3. Advanced Subscriber Access

With Advanced access to the site, you are provided with the option to use Opportunity Matching and Advanced Project Searching. Opportunity Matching allows you to set keywords that would interest you on a project (ie: painting). The system then watches for these keywords to appear in a project entry and sends you an automated email notifying you when a project meets your keyword criteria.

To make use of this feature, from the bottom of the Main Page, under the Manage My Account heading, click on the blue Edit Opportunity Matching link. Enter your keywords individually, or separate multiple words with "or" then click the green + icon next to the words "Add keyword to Search List". To remove keywords, click on the red X icon next to the words "Remove Keyword" for the keyword you wish to delete. Use quotes ("-") when your keyword has multiple words (ie: "roller blinds").

4. View Documents

Once you have the project open, click on the Documents tab to view the folders and project documents. Click on a folder to open it and click on a document name to view it.

Most documents will automatically open using the SourceViewer allowing you to work with the documents online. Some documents will require you to open them using your own software (ie: Word, Excel, AutoCAD). Once in the SourceViewer, you will have access to an entire menu of tools. These tools will allow you to search the document text, print, download and order documents, add mark-ups and annotations and perform on-screen takeoffs. For example:
